FORTUNE SMILES ON NIXON PEABODY
Nixon Peabody LLP has been named one of the “100 Best Companies To Work For” by FORTUNE magazine. Nixon Peabody is one of only six law firms to be named to the 2006 list. The list and related stories appear in the January 23 issue of FORTUNE, available on newsstands January 16.

Every year, FORTUNE magazine selects the 100 best companies to work for in the United States from hundreds of candidates. An organization must excel in many areas to be chosen. Companies are scored on job satisfaction, benefits, diversity, compensation, employee communications, camaraderie and philanthropy. Two thirds of a company’s score is based on the opinions of the company’s own employees.

"We at Nixon Peabody are delighted by this recognition, especially because it calls attention to something that we have known for quite some time -- that the best companies to work for are made up of the best people to work with," said Harry P. Trueheart, Chairman of Nixon Peabody. "Our people are our essence. The spirit, skills and dedication of our personnel have made Nixon Peabody a special place to work, and a great organization for our clients to do business with. We are pleased to stand among many of the nation’s most respected companies, and to pay tribute to our personnel in such a powerful way."

Nixon Peabody has earned the 49th spot on the list, and is just one of six law firms being recognized.

NETWORK WELCOMES NEW MEMBER GIBBONS DEL DEO

Effective January 1, 2006, our friends at Hecker Brown Sherry and Johnson joined Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchion, becoming the nucleus of Gibbons' Philadelphia presence.

The Gibbons firm voted to retain the membership and footprint that the former Hecker Brown firm enjoyed within the Network and we are delighted that our highly beneficial professional and personal relationships with those attorneys involved will continue into the future.

The Executive Committee wishes to thank the Lowenstein Sandler firm (our New Jersey-based member firm) for its cooperation and especially for the professional manner in which it welcomed our newest member firm into the Network.

Founded in 1926, Gibbons is ranked among the nation's top 250 firms by The National Law Journal. The firm provides transactional, litigation and counseling services to leading businesses regionally, nationally and internationally. Gibbons expanded its Philadelphia office with the addition of 25 attorneys from Hecker Brown Sherry and Johnson, a prominent Philadelphia civil litigation boutique. That expansion is a key aspect of Gibbons' strategic plan to enhance its ability to serve clients from offices throughout the region.

Gibbons was recently ranked one of the top 100 firms in the nation for diversity by Multi-Cultural Law magazine, and Gibbons' attorneys are recognized among the nation's leading business attorneys by The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers and Super Lawyers publications.

The firm's 200+ attorneys counsel businesses and business owners in all legal areas including Business & Commercial Litigation, Corporate, Criminal Defense, Employment Law, Financial Restructuring & Creditors' Rights, Government Affairs, Intellectual Property, Products Liability, and Real Property & Environmental.
